We made three types of trophies for this project. A large perpetual cup that was over two feet tall, a smaller replica cup and finalist trophies. The large perpetual cup would be used each year as the grand prize and the winner would receive the smaller replica as a keepsake. Finalists would receive a more simplistic award as a token of appreciation. The awards were all handcrafted in our studio using our specialised metalworking and woodworking machinery. The use of sustainably sourced black bamboo provided a nice contrast against the anodized aluminium.
