These awards were designed to be a modern interpretation of traditional figurine awards such as the Oscars, but with a construction theme. We 3D printed a mould and cast each one from a granite looking resin to make them look like stone. We also 3D printed the construction hats and hand painted them in gold. The statue was mounted to a heavy white powder coated base to add some extra weight to the design. We made them in two different versions, gold for the winners and silver for the runner ups.
