Inductive Automation's Ignition Community Conference (ICC) gathers the industrial world’s brightest minds at one event — and we’ve had the pleasure of creating the awards for it over the last eight years. 

Each year has been a progression of skill and elements, and the awards have continued to grow in terms of design and complexity. The 2023 Firebrand award is a true reflection of the pinnacle of awards and trophies that we’re capable of crafting at Watson Design. 

To portray sun rays, it features a 3D milled wood pattern up one side, finished with a stunning fiery orange print to match the same theme. The other side is made up of a meganite layered block with a folded aluminum panel wrapped around the bottom and dark blue aluminum above.

To meet Inductive Automation’s branding requirements, the awards include a detailed 3mm anodized aluminum circular logo on the blue aluminum and custom prints on the silver. On the spine sits a laser cut acrylic elevate logo where the bold white text contrasts beautifully with the bright orange colours.

We’re delighted that the detail and complexity involved in designing this award transferred into a truly unique and modern work of art that recipients will truly value for their achievements.
